As promised, here are images of my condo balcony.

I have a grand total of 75 sq ft, most of it is east-facing.

  So, I garden in partial shade conditions (4 hours direct sunlight).

The narrow end of balcony faces north, and when the north wind

blows, it rips off any leaves that aren't firmly attached.

Pots contain ferns, oxalis, kiwi vine, potato vine, impatiens, ivy, coleus,

coral bells, ninebark, mint and parsely.

Top image faces north. The image to right, faces south.

Below, is the ninebark. I had a mallow, which did beautifully until

one windy day, all the leaves were ripped off.
